SIXTY children and their guardians from Yayasan Sunbeams Home were treated to a movie and dinner at MyTOWN Shopping Centre in conjunction with the festive season.

Yayasan Sunbeams Home, a non-governmental, self-supporting multiracial foundation, is home to 106 displaced, abused and neglected children of single parents.

The day began with a fun outing to catch the latest blockbuster Star Wars – The Last Jedi at the cinema in MyTOWN with caramel popcorn and drinks courtesy of Golden Screen Cinemas.

Next up was a selfie and wefie session with the Enchanted Winter Christmas décor at Central Town as the children got to flex their funny bones with quirky poses and experience time together with their friends and volunteers. The evening ended with a scrumptious Christmas meal at Nando’s.

“For the team here at MyTOWN KL, it is not only about giving the gift of joy, it truly gives us much happiness when we interact with the children and see the smiles on their faces.

“Moving forward, we certainly will organise more children’s activities at the shopping centre to support the less fortunate,” said MyTOWN marketing head Christopher Koh.

In the spirit of giving, the children received gifts such as wallets, stationery and healthy snacks courtesy of Village Grocer, Cellini and Extreme Leather & Co.
