CATEGORY A (11 & ABOVE)

  • The Contest is open to all Shoppers aged 11 & above.

Scoresheet:

  • Audition – 35% Presentation & Showmanship (Confidence, poise, fun value during presentation), 35% Entertainment Value (Overall effect & performance), 30% on Style (Presentable & trendy).
  • Challenge Round – 25% on personality, 25% on communication, 25% on style, 15% on overall presentation and 10% on public voting via social media.
  • Finale – 25% on personality, 25% on communication, 25% on style and 25% on overall presentation.

How it works:

  • Audition – Contestants are given 3x photo shots and in a 15s video shoot, would need to give a brief introduction (i.e. name, age, location) and explain why they want to take part in the contest. 
  • Challenge Round – Selected semi-finalists are needed to attend a beauty workshop on the 10 August. Contestants would then proceed to undergo a video shoot at Love, Bonito (female) & HLA (male), with their chosen outfit from the sponsored stores. 15 minutes is allocated for video shooting. Questions to answer during the challenge round: –
      1. Why did you choose this outfit?
      2. Who is your biggest inspiration and why?
      3. What and how do you want to influence the society?
  • Public Voting: Starts from 14 Aug 2019 until 12am, 21 Aug 2019.
  • Finale – Finalists will need to strut a catwalk in own outfit. Scores will be judged by judges and contestants with the highest score for overall presentation wins.

Prizes:

Winner from each category is eligible for ONE (1) prize only. Prizes are non-transferable and non-exchangeable for cash and may be subject to availability.

  • 1st Prize: RM5,000 Cash + to be featured in one of top YouTube’s content creator in Malaysia (Dankhoo Productions) + to be face for MyTOWN future campaigns (minimum 2 features)
  • 2nd Prize: RM3,000 Cash + to be face for MyTOWN future campaign (minimum 1 feature)
  • 3rd Prize: RM1,500 Cash + to be face for MyTOWN future campaign (minimum 1 feature)
  • Consolations: RM300 Gift Card/Voucher

 

CATEGORY B (4 – 10 YEARS)

  • The Contest is open to all Shoppers aged between 4 – 10.

Scoresheet:

  • Audition – 35% Presentation & Showmanship (Confidence, poise, fun value during presentation), 35% Entertainment Value (Overall effect & performance), 30% on Style (Presentable & trendy).
  • Challenge Round –  25% on personality, 25% on communication, 25% on style, 15% on overall presentation and 10% on public voting via social media.
  • Finale –  20% on personality, 20% on cheerful, 20% on style, 20% on overall presentation and 20% on most photogenic.

How it works:

  • Audition – Contestants are given 3x photo shots and in a 15s video shoot, would need to give a brief introduction (i.e. name, age, location) and explain why they want to take part in the contest. 
  • Challenge Round – Selected semi-finalists would need to undergo a video shoot in their chosen outfit from Babyshop (fashion) on 17 August. Questions to answer during the challenge round: –
      1. Why did you choose this outfit?
  • Finale – Finalists will need to strut a catwalk in own outfit. Scores will be judged by judges and contestants with the highest score for overall presentation wins.

Prizes:

Prizes are non-transferable and non-exchangeable for cash and may be subject to availability.

  • 5 Special Awards (Best Dressed, Best Personality, Most Photogenic, Most Cheerful, Best Overall Presentation): RM500 Cash + RM300 Gift Card/Voucher + to be face for MyTOWN future campaign (minimum 1 feature)
  • All Finalists: RM300 Gift Card/Voucher

 

General Terms and Conditions:

  1. MyTOWN the Influencer Search(“Contest”) is open to all shoppers except employees of Boustead Ikano Sdn Bhd (“Management”), employees of concessionaires, advertising agencies, MyTOWN’s tenants and their respective immediate families
  2. By participating in the Contest, the participant agrees to be bound by this Terms and Conditions and any rules and regulations of the Contest made/imposed by the Management.
  3. Management reserves the right to disqualify any Contest entry that do not meet the rules and regulations including entry submitted with incomplete, invalid, or incorrect information.
  4. The semifinalist will be announced by telephone and/or email and/or website and/or Facebook on the 7 Aug 2019 and finalist will be announced by telephone and/or email and/or website and/or Facebook on the 21 Aug 2019 or any extension of period to be decided at the Management’s sole and absolute discretion. In the event that any such Contest winner is not contactable after three (3) attempts, the Contest winner will be disqualified from the Contest and a new winner from a reserved list will be selected at the Management’s sole and absolute discretion. The initial selected Contest winner will be disqualified and will have no recourse towards the Management or anyone involved in the Contest. The Management reserves the right to deal with any unclaimed prizes in any manner deemed fit at its sole and absolute discretion.
  5. Acceptance of any prize shall constitute consent on the participant’s and/or parent/legal guardian’s part to allow the use of the participant’s name, image, video footage, voices and/or likeness by the Management for editorial, advertising, promotional, marketing and/or the other purposes without further compensation in any media for an unlimited period of time except where prohibited by the law.
  6. In the event of any discrepancy, the Management’s decision will be final, and no appeal shall be entertained.
  7. All taxes, insurance, logistics and other expenses as the case may be, unless specifically stated, are the sole responsibility of the winner.
  8. If due to any circumstances beyond control where the Management is unable to provide the stated prizes or any part thereof, the Management reserves the right to substitute the prizes with any item of equal or greater value, to be determined at the Management’s sole and absolute discretion.
  9. All participants and/or parent/legal guardian unconditionally agrees to assume full liability and responsibility to the extent permitted by law in the event of any loss of monies, valuables, belongings, mishap, injury, damage, claim, or accidents (including death) suffered as a result of or arising from their participation in this contest, and/or utilization of the prizes.
  10. The Management reserves the right to change, amend, and revise this Terms and Conditions without prior notice at any time and the participant shall be bound to such changes. Each individual participating to the Contest acknowledges that in respect of any Personal Information disclosed by him/her to the Management: a) he/she is authorized to disclose such Personal Information; b) such disclosure complies with Personal Data Protection Act 2010 and any Privacy Legislation from any country, within the geographical scope of the Contest; c) he/she is consented to the use of such Personal Information by the Management as contemplated by the Challenge application (including, without limitation, the disclosure of such Personal Information to the Management’s external agencies or third parties); he/she have read, understand and agreed to the terms and conditions of this Contest, and consent to the processing of Personal Data as described in the Management’s Privacy Policy which is available at: http://www.mytownkl.com.my/en/privacy-policy/ under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010.
